RENOVATION OF THE PAEDRIATRIC ONCOLOGY WARD AT VALL D'HEBRON HOSPITAL, Barcelona
In 2021, Vall d’Hebron Hospital launched an ambitious renovation project of the Paediatric Oncology and Haematology Area, in collaboration with the Aladina, A. Bosch and Small foundations. This project, called “Enhanced Reality”, covers more than 2,600 m² and has a budget of 7.4 million euros.
Phase 1 of the project, now completed, includes nine transplant rooms, a playroom, gym, parents’ area and a hospital classroom.
Phase 2 is currently under construction and the full renovation is expected to be completed in 2025. This project marks a major step forward in the care and well-being of children and adolescents with cancer and haematological diseases at Vall d’Hebron.
